Sergio Ramos Yoshino, a partner in the Insolvency, Debt Restructuring and Special Situations and Corporate and M&A practices at Pinheiro Guimarães, will speak on a panel about the challenges in the power sector at the 18th TMA Brasil Congress on Corporate Restructuring and Recovery, hosted by the Turnaround Management Association. The event takes place November 3 and 4, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt in São Paulo.
Now in its 18th edition, sponsored in part by Pinheiro Guimarães, the congress is one of Brazil’s leading gatherings on corporate restructuring and insolvency. It brings together lawyers, judicial administrators, investors, managers, financial institutions, advisors, academics, and public officials to discuss the direction of corporate restructuring in Brazil and the legal and financial solutions available to distressed companies.
On November 4, from 12:40 p.m. to 2:10 p.m., Sergio Ramos Yoshino will be one of the speakers on the panel “Challenges in the Power Sector,” part of the congress’s lunch session program. The panel will address the difficulties companies in the industry are currently facing.
Spread across plenary sessions and themed lunch sessions over two days, the program opens with a keynote on the economic and geopolitical outlook. Panels that follow will cover agribusiness, judicial and out-of-court reorganization of non-business entities, chronic tax debtors, the challenges board members and officers face when a company is in crisis, cross-border insolvency, and the insolvency of financial and payment institutions.
This participation reflects Pinheiro Guimarães’ work in insolvency, debt restructuring, project finance, and special situations.
